![]() My focus (obsession) over the last decade has been on empowering video creators, by giving more people the tools to create compelling content and reach their audience. No other medium has the ability to bring stories to life in a deeply personal way, while simultaneously reaching every corner of the globe. Today I am sharing my next adventure, as the incoming CEO of Tubi!Īnyone who knows me knows that I believe in the power of video. We are getting there, and I feel grateful and privileged to have experienced that progress firsthand. But the stigmas are slowly melting, and more leaders and companies are starting to invest in and realize the ROI from a more inclusive workforce. We have far to go and much to improve on - from flexible parental leave to expanded benefits to more intentional career paths. I also want to share that I am leaving this experience with a new perspective and optimism about the future for parents at work. Those close to me know I struggled with the pressure to be both a positive example and do what was best for me and for Vimeo. There are far more examples of female leaders being judged and criticized for their choices in how to navigate motherhood and work. There aren’t many examples of public company CEOs becoming mothers on the job and taking leave (shout out to Katrina Lake for being a shining example that emboldened me). I want to share that I had real anxiety about taking leave this time - both about whether I would be able to enjoy being away from my professional responsibilities and about how the world would react given all that is happening in the markets. A special thanks to Mark Kornfilt for stepping in brilliantly as interim CEO, and to our exec team, board and countless others across the company for supporting me throughout my leave. ![]() First official day back to work from parental leave! I am so energized to be back, and grateful to all those at Vimeo who afforded me space and flexibility during this time. ![]()
